He will perhaps be remembered for his directing of Chuck Norris in the action picture “Lone Wolf McQuade” (1983).
The Brooklyn native was educated at Manhattan’s High School of Music and Arts where he studied Photography. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Buffalo, Steve Carver (1945-2021) he went on to earn his Master of Fine Arts from Washington University. -2021)

Following a period where he was a freelance photographer with such publications as National Geographic, Architectural Digest and United Press International, his first break in Hollywood came when he assisted Dalton Trumbo on the picture “Johnny Got His Gun” (1971).
Steve Carver Death 8 Jan 2021 (aged 75)
This led to his first directing effort with the short “The Tell-Tail Heart” (1971) and his first feature the Italian picture “The Arena” (1974). Other films include “Big Bad Mama” (1974), “Capone” (1975), “Drum” (1976), “Steel” (1979), the Chuck Norris’ picture “An Eye For An Eye” (1981) and “Bulletproof” (1987).
He co-authored the publication “Western Portraits: The Unsung Heroes and Villains of the Silver Screen” (2019). He died from a heart attack.
