Reinaldo Antonio Stennett Porte was a Panamanian professional baseball second baseman. He played the second base position for both the Major League Baseball’s Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants from 1971 to 1981.
He started in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ farm system in 1969 and played for four different minor league teams before being called to the main team in July of 1971. On September 1, 1971, he was a part of history, as a part of the first Major League all-black starting lineup. He did not play in the 1971 World Series, which the Pirates won.

He went on to play for the Pirates for the next eight seasons before signing as a free agent, with the San Francisco Giants at the end of 1979. While with the Pirates, he played in four National League playoffs and was a part of their 1979 “We Are Family” World Series-winning team.
He also became one of three players in history to collect seven hits in a game in 1975. He went on to play for the Giants in 1980 and 1981, before being released in 1982. During his career, he batted .274 and had 432 runs batted in, while hitting 41 home runs. He passed away after a battle with cancer.
