Pedro Tenorio Castrejón was a Mexican muralist, portraitist and ceramist. In 1971 he received his first painting classes with the artist Marcos Daniel Cañas in Mexico City; in 1973 he held his individual exhibition at the José Martí Cultural Center; and from 1974 to 1979 he continued his artistic apprenticeship at the La Esmeralda National School of Painting and Sculpture in Mexico City.
He was an assistant and collaborator of the Russian painter Vlady in the murals of the Miguel Lerdo de Tejada library, in Mexico City.
In 1987 he obtained honorable mention in the III Edition of the Plastic Arts Award in the city of Oaxaca, in addition to being recognized with the first place in the second meeting of plastic artists in the “Bienal Internacional” organized by the Autonomous University of Baja California in Mexicali.
Pedro Tenorio painted large-format works in various public spaces, including the high-relief sculpture mural of the Hotel Calli. He also made sculptures of the diplomat Matías Romero and of the composer Jesús “Chu” Rasgado.
