She was best known to British television viewers as Elizabeth Bellamy/Kirbridge on the series “Upstairs, Downstairs” from 1971 to 1973.
After growing up in various parts of the world, she entered the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1962 and studied there for two years.
She made her television debut in 1965 on the series “Thursday Theatre.” Besides “Upstairs, Downstairs,” she went to appear on numerous television series such as “Gideon C.I.D.,” “The Avengers,” “Special Branch,” “A Bit of a Do,” and “Ain’t Misbehavin.” She also appeared in such television productions as “Anna Karenina” and “Frankenstein: The True Story.
” During her acting career, she also appeared in such films as “The Viking Queen,” (1967) “Anne of the Thousand Days,” (1969) “There’s a Girl in My Soup,” (1970) and “An Awfully Big Adventure.
