Nedumudi Venu Indian Actor (1948-2021)
He was born Kesavan Venugopal but was best known by his stage name, Nedumudi Venu made his film debut in 1978 in a film titled “Thambu”.
His career ran from 1978 until 2021 and during this time span he acted in more than 500 production on screen and television.
A few of the film productions he had parts in were “Aarohanam” 1980, “Kathodu Kathoram” 1985, “Malootty” 1990, “Nirnayam” 1995 and “Jack & Jill” 2021. In television he participated in “Kairali Vilasam Lodge” in both directing and acting, “Poovanpazham” (a telefilm), and “Sreekrishnan”.
For all of his hard work he won numerous awards during his career. In 1990 he won the Best Supporting Actor award for his part in “His Highness Abdullah”, Best Actor in 1980 in “Chamaram” at the Kerala State Film Awards and in 2007 the Best Actor award at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival in “Saira”.
In all he won over 25 major awards during his 43 year career. Venu was married to T. R. Susheela. The couple had two sons : Unni and Kannan. He passed away in a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram where he was being treated for a liver ailments.
