Morgan Stevens Find a Grave
He was best known to television viewers as teacher David Reardon on the 1980s musical drama “Fame” from 1982 to 1984.
He made his acting debut in 1970 on the television series “The Mod Squad.” Besides “Fame,” he went on to appear in such series as “One Day at a Time,” “The Waltons,” “Bare Essence,” “The Love Boat,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “A Year in the Life,” and “Melrose Place.” In the 1990s, he was a victim of alleged police brutality when he was arrested for an alleged DUI.
He claimed after 90 minutes of waiting in a jail cell, he refused to hand back the shirt that was given, which is when two jailers kicked and beat him over two dozen times. He left jail with a broken nose, a fractured cheek, a dislocated jaw and nerve damage as a result. He later sued and an out-of-court settlement was reached.
