Where Was Mike Sadek born?
Major League Baseball Player. For eight seasons (1973, 1975 to 1981), he was a catcher with the San Francisco Giants. Born Michael George Sadek, he made his initial impact on the baseball diamond during his years at Richfield High School in Minnesota. He was selected during the 5th round of the 1967 June MLB Draft, while playing collegiate baseball at the University of Minnesota.

He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants as a Rule 5 player in 1969 and made his Major League debut o April 13, 1973. During the course of his career, Sadek was a fan favorite as he split playing time with Dave Rader, Marc Hill and Dennis Littlejohn. In 383 career regular season games, he compiled 184 hits, with a .226 lifetime batting average.
After retiring as a player, he remained with the Giants’ organization to serve as a community representative. He died from heart and lung related issues.
