Mark York, also known as Marcus A. York, was an American actor best known for his role as Billy Merchant in NBC’s The Office.
He was best known to television viewers as Billy Merchant on the NBC sitcom “The Office” from 2006 to 2009. After graduating from Anderson University as a triple major graduate, he was encouraged to move to California to pursue acting.
Even though he had been a paraplegic since 1988, it didn’t stop him from pursuing his dream of acting. He made his acting debut in the 1997 film “Going All the Way.” Besides “The Office,” he went on to appear on such television series as “A.I. Artificial Intelligence,” “8 Simple Rules,” “CSI: New York,” and such films as “Fighting Words” (2007) and “Profile.” (2008)
