Herta Staal Austrian Actress (1930-2021)
Born Herta Staly she made her film debut in “Adventure in the castle” in 1952. She received her training from Academy for Music and Performing Arts and the Vienna Conservatory from 1947 until 1949.
She made her stage debut in 1948 at the Wiener Stadttheater in “Frühling im Prater”. Altogether she appeared in 34 films and television productions between 1952 and 1977. Her most notable role coming in “The Rosel from the Black Forest” in the female leading role in 1956.
She retired from acting in 1993 and moved to Munich where she lived in seclusion.
