Granville Adams American Actor (1963-2021)
Best known as Zahir Arif on the HBO series “OZ”.
He was also Officer Jeff Westby on “Homicide: Life on the Street”. Adams was arrested on February 4, 2007 and charged with criminally negligent homicide of a patron of a bar he was managing.
He was accused of pushing a man against some elevator doors on the 6th. floor causing them to unhinge causing the man to fall to his death.

Adams was released on a $5000 bail and faced up to a 4 year prison term. On June 30, 2007 a judge dismissed the charges against Adams and the man’s family filed a civil suit against Adams. He passed away after a long battle with cancer.
