Antonio Espinosa Becerra, better known as Tony Espinosa, was a Mexican singer and troubadour.
He began in trova at the age of 20, at the hands of his uncle Luis and his brother Joaquin. In Merida, he have received guitar advice from the prominent composer Pastor Cervera Rosado and the support of the singer and artistic director Beatriz Eugenia Semerena who made him known with the nickname “La Trova Joven de Yucatan”. On several occasions he sang accompanied by the Yukalpeten Typical Orchestra, in gala concerts and in musical tributes to notable composers and poets.
Over 45 years of career, he recorded 15 albums of various genres. He received several awards, among them the Ricardo Palmerín Medal and the Pastor Cervera Medal.
