Born Julie Kitaen, she attended Mission Bay High School in San Diego, however she dropped out prior to graduation and earned a living as a model. She made an initial name for herself when she adorned the cover of the album “Out of the Cellar” (1983) for the rock group “RATT” in addition to appearing in a music video for the band. This led to her television debut with a minor role in the TV-Movie “Malibu” (1983).
She went on to recurring roles in the soap operas “Capitol” (1986 to 1987) and “Santa Barbara” (1989). She will also be remembered for playing ‘Mona Loveland’ in “The New WKRP in Cincinnati” (1991 to 1993) and providing the voice of “Annabelle” in the animated series “Eek! The Cat” (1992 to 1995).
