Sergio Rascon Martinez (1962-2021)

He was a Mexican painter, who exhibited his works in Spain, Germany and the United States, among others.

In Mexico, Rascon Martinez exhibited his work in Mazatlan, Tijuana, Ensenada, Caborca, Ciudad Obregon, Hermosillo and Mexico City, where he had the opportunity to show his work in the Senate of the Republic.

His works obtained numerous national and international awards and recognitions, among which are Second Prize in the Community’s Quick Painting Contest (1994, Madrid); State Prize for Painting (1995, 1997, Sonora); Second Prize for Painting in the VII Binational Painting, Sculpture and Objective Art Contest (2001), organized by Laboratorios Wyeth-Walos, in Mexico City.

In 2017 he was recognized as one of the best painters in Sonora by the Museo de Arte de Sonora, Musas.
