He was the founder of the regional Mexican band La Original Banda El Limon. Banda El Limon was formed in 1965 in El Limon de los Peraza, Sinaloa by Pedro Aramburo, Encarnacion Peraza, Lino Quintero, Carlos Peraza and Pedro Peraza.
The Banda began performing in the port of Mazatlan, and in 1976, Salvador Lizarraga assumed the direction of the Banda. Salvador along with the band recorded more than 20 albums, with great hits such as “Lena de Pirul,” “Mi Suerte” “Que se te olvido” and “Derecho de Antiguedad.
” Salvador gave the opportunity to several singers to be vocalists of the band, who later became successful soloists such as Julio Preciado, Jose Angel Ledesma “El Coyote,” Nico Flores and Luis Antonio Lopez “El Mimoso.” In 2012, the band won the Latin Grammy for Best Regional Mexican Song. He retired due to health problems in 2015.
