Where is Rafael Navarro Gonzalez buried?
Rafael Navarro Gonzalez established the Chemistry Laboratory Plasmas and Planetary Studies at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, with the support of the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico in 1994.
He identified the role of volcanic lightning in the origin of life on earth. He found an area in the Atacama desert in northern Chile with soil similar to that of Mars, for which he received international awards. He proposed processes to explain the possible formation of organic molecules on the basis of terrain studies of Mars.
His research successfully combines laboratory simulations, field work, and theoretical modeling combining the disciplines of chemistry, physics, and biology.
