Marty Grebb is remembered for his tenure with the 1960s music ensemble “The Buckinghams.” Born into a family of musicians, he was influenced by blues music of his native Chicago and learned to play the saxophone, as well as the keyboards.

He joined “The Buckinghams” in 1966 and within a year, they enjoyed commercial success with the Top 10 hits “Kind Of A Drag” (number 1 in 1967), “Don’t You Care” (1967) and “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy” (1967). He would go on to became a highly demanded sessions musician with such artists as Otis Rush, Leon Russell, Bonnie Raitt and Eric Clapton. He died following a lengthy battle with cancer.
