A member of the Republican Party, he served as Governor of Delaware from December 1992 until January 1993. While serving with the United States Army (as a first lieutenant) during World War II, he saw action during the Battle of Okinawa and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star from this experience.
Where Was Dale Edward Wolf born?
Following his return home, he attained his degree in Agriculture from the University of Nebraska and went on to earn his Ph.D. from Rutgers University. He settled in Delaware and worked for the DuPont Company where he rose the corporate ladder and became an executive within the corporation’s pharmaceutical division.

Wolf served as the 22nd Lieutenant Governor of Delaware under Governor Mike Castle (1989 to 1992) and succeeded Castle as Governor of Delaware when he was elected to the United States House of Representatives (1992). After leaving Dover, he went on to serve on several boards.
