She was best known to film viewers for her roles in such films as “The Vanquished,” (1953) “Tides of Passion,” (1956) and “Darby’s Rangers.” (1958) She studied drama at the Paris Conservatory of Arts.
In 1953, she made her acting debut in the film “The Other Side of Paradise.” Besides “The Vanquished,” “Tides of Passion,” and “Darby’s Rangers,” she went on to appear in such films as “The Scheming Women,” (1954) “The Whole Town Accuses,” (1956) “The Guilty,” (1957) and “Prostitution.” (1963) During the 1950s, she was romantically involved with both actor Tab Hunter and King Hassan II of Morocco.
