Eliyahu Matza Israeli Judge (1935-2021)
Supreme Court Justice. From May 1991 until January 4, 2005 he served as a justice of the Supreme Court of Israel. He also served as Deputy President of the court between April 23, 2004 and January 4, 2005.
Altogether, including lower courts, he served as a judge for 32 years. He received his college education at Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he studied law at both institution. He started his career as a military judge before becoming a justice in the highest court in Israel. He retired at the age of 70.
