He was best known for playing Samuel “Screech” Powers on the hit NBC sitcom, ‘Saved by the Bell.’

At age 10, he first appeared on the 1987 made-for-TV movie ‘Yogi’s Great Escape’ and made several other TV appearances before landing the role as nerdy sidekick “Screech Powers,” a role he would play on and off for 13 years over the shows franchise, which included ‘Saved by the Bell: The College Years,’ ‘Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas,’ ‘Saved by the Bell: The New Class’ and ‘Hang Time.’
