She became best known for her supporting roles as a Italian, Latino or Jewish character. She preformed in television, films and theaters for 51 years.
On the small screen she appeared in “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” as Kai Opaka. In the theater she played the part of Mama Maddelena in the Broadway play “Nine” and in films she appeared in “Broadway Danny Rose” in 1984, “Betsy’s Wedding” in 1990 and “Staten Island Summer” in 2015.
These are just a few of the 43 plus productions she appeared in during her career. She received a CableACE Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a made-for-cable movie for for her role in “Nightlife” and a Back Stage West Garland Award for her role in the Broadway play “Zorba”.
